Ganga Prem Hospice Vedanta Retreat Shraddha Cancer Care Trust is offering a nine day winter retreat (Dec 24, 2007 -Jan 1, 2008) on the banks of the holy river Ganga near the pilgrimage town of Rishikesh, India. All proceeds from the retreat will benefit Ganga Prem charitable cancer hospice. The retreat will be led by Swamini Pramananda who has 25 years of experience teaching Vedanta both in India and abroad. Her approach to the traditional teachings has great integrity, combining deep respect for the ancient heritage of India with a modern, inquiring mind, which seeks to find and share the relevance of these teachings in our day to day life. Retreat activities include scriptural classes, meditation, chanting, interactive satsang, cultural programs, puja and a visit to Neelkanth temple in the hills above Rishikesh. Cost for the retreat ($450 USD) includes double room accommodation and three daily vegetarian meals.
