“Heal The Sky” is a charity compilation aiming to help children who are victims of the war in Ukraine. It includes a special recording of Lokah Samasta (Peace Mantra), recorded by KD last year just for this project.
It consists of previously unreleased tracks by world famous musicians. The stylistic palette of the collection ranges from folk-rock to electronica. The curator of the collection is the legendary Russian musician and poet Boris Grebenshchikov. The war continues. We have no moral right to be silent about it, no right for war fatigue, while people are still being bombed and killed. Boris Grebenshchikov was supported in this project by his friends and colleagues like Dave Stewart (The Eurythmics), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Marianne Faithful, Marc Almond, Richard Thompson, Jackson Browne, The Waterboys, Clannad, Crowded House and others. All proceeds from the sales and streaming of the compilation will go to Kyiv’s specialized children’s hospital “Ohmatdyt”.
